Fencing club coaches achieve teaching awards
Ellie Holland has achieved the Level 2 EpeƩ from the British Academy of Fencing at their Summer course in Denstone college. Tony Middleton has achieved Level 3 Foil at the same event. With these new skills, both hope that they will help their students to progress even further with their fencing.. |

Coach helps promote healthy schools

Leicester Beginners in their first competition
Fencers Lee Garner, Jade Cerff and Neil Farr entered their first competition today - the Beginner's Stem Foil held at North Kesteven Leisure Centre, Lincoln. Club coach Chris Beadling says "We [leicester fencing club] have recently worked hard to ensure that our beginner courses are timed and their level set to get as many fencers to try their hand at a this annual competition. I am pleased that the fencers this year who only started fencing in April 2006 have been able to get so far in so short a time". View the full story here |

Multiple Wins for LFC Sabre members
Members of the Leicester Fencing club came away with a large stock of medals at the recent Bedford Leon Paul Sabre competition:
- Joe Brightman won the gold (Under 17 Boys)
- Dan Balderson claimed the silver medal (Under 17 Boys)
- Sarah Cunniffe won the gold medal (Under 17 Girls)
- Sam Brightman won the gold medal (Under 15 Boys)
- Sian Willows won the gold (Under 15 Girls)
- Sara Knill-Macarthur claimed the bronze medal (Under 15 Girls).
